If you have tried running Supaplex under Windows Vista or Windows 7 you will know it doesn’t work and the Windows comparability settings wont help either. You need to use DOSBox to install and play Supaplex. I have written up some instructions on how to install and configure DOSBox and Supaplex.

Update: Miscellanea mania!

Written by Jingles. No comments Posted in: News

Ok so it’s hardly mania it’s just an update but I have updated the Miscellanea page with some cool stuff, namely:

A poorly translated (I’ll comfort myself with the fact that I at least I tried. I’m also going to blame Google Translate) German preview of THINK! (the original name of Supaplex) and a Slovakian review of Supaplex. If you can translate the articles better than I can, i.e. so that they actually make sense in English or if you have any other reviews from other magazines please email me.

There are also some scans of some goodies that came in the retail boxed version of Supaplex.

More clones!

Written by Jingles. No comments Posted in: News

I came across 2 new clones; Supaplex DS, and Supaplex J2ME, they have been added to the Clones & ports page.

Update – 22/01/2012: I never had any idea that there were so many Supaplex clones out there until I started looking. I have come across two more Supaplex clones. One of them is clone of Supaplex implemented in a Starcraft 2 map and the other is possibly the most obscure Supaplex clone ever, it’s a clone of Supaplex for Casio’s Pocket Viewer PDAs.
Casio released the first PV PDA in 1999, a whole bunch of different models in the PV series were released for different markets. Casio’s last PV PDA model in the series was the PV-S1600, it was released in 2003. In 2004 Andreas Schwarzkopf coded a port/clone of Supaplex for the PV PDA.
You can check out both of these clones on the Clones & ports page.

Happy birthday to Murphy & Supaplex!

Written by Jingles. No comments Posted in: News

This year marks the 21st birthday of Supaplex, Murphy is now a an adult. So to celebrate the occasion I have decided to launch THINK! Supaplex to gather Supaplex resources in one place and to offer new information about Supaplex.

I chose the name THINK! Supaplex because THINK! was the original name of the game. Supaplex is a puzzle game where you have to think, so THINK! Supaplex seemed like a logical choice. Besides all the good Supaplex domains (.com, .net, .info etc…) were already taken.
